This delicious Lane coffee table is so tasty that we feel we must give it a proper shout out.
This piece is part of the Lane Acclaim Series, originally designed by Andre Bus in 1959 and overseen by the company's head designer, Warren C. Church. The Acclaim Series incorporated the process of placing a walnut veneer over a substrate of a lighter oak, making the pieces sturdier and more affordable. Bus used the die-cut to integrate the walnut with the oak, creating the famous dovetail look.
We occasionally acquire matching Lane side tables but this square coffee table is a once-in-three-years kind of find for us. She's a real beauty.
